The umbrella is fine. Not the highest quality, but decent for the money. It's remained pretty sturdy all season. The lights are very blue-ish and pretty ugly to have on at night, but better than no light.I thought the lights didn't work, at first, so I emailed the company as it said to do on a paper insert in the package. Absolutely no response from them, which sucks. I looked over the "instructions" included in the package, which were ridiculously hard to interpret. But with that I was able to figure out that I had to remove the solar panel on top in order to find that the wires had to be attached. Once I did that, the lights worked perfectly.Hopefully you don't have to contact the company for any reason because it doesn't seem like they like to respond.Easy to move due to the handle and very sturdyI had to hold the umbrella but it didn't really because the umbrella went flying with the little bit of wind and almost hit a carJust needed a basic heavy base that could be emptied to move about for a pool umbrella. Works just peachy for mild days, and easy to move by emptying. That said, even with the umbrella closed a stout wind can easily blow this over. Live in a windy area? Find something else.Perfect for under a table. I wouldn’t trust it to hold up even an average sized umbrella. The base that the umbrella sits in is too short. Other than that it looks good....is a great weight for a 9ft umbrella.... and has a small enough foot print that it’s not in the way of people’s feet. This is plastic, but it's sturdy. I filled with sand and then added water. I think that would have done it, but I live in Arizona where the wind screams so I added some large rocks. The stand base is solid and the fact that it is flat on top makes having extra weight added with rocks works well. Yes, please close your umbrella if it is windy, you can't expect the stand to fix that problem. I will be purchasing another one of these for my other table before next summer.I have an umbrella and a table for my deck, was looking for a base. This base is exactly what I want. It is easy to assemble. After filled with water and used together with the table and the umbrella, the whole assembly can stand strong wind. The size is perfect for under the table. This umbrella base has an adjustable knob, I can tighten or loosen the knob according to the umbrella's pole size. The empty umbrella stand is lightweight, very easy to carry for ang where to use. good buy!Works well, but not quite heavy enough to hold up an umbrella with a random gust of wind.Just ok quality, not sure it will survive a windy day! Not the quality I expected for the price, but only time will tell. Fingers crossed! Update the light have quit working, only tried them a couple times because who has an umbrella pat night? Any way the light have quit working, I was showing them to a friend and surprise they don’t work! Like I said it’s a cheap quality and I recommend you stay away from this brand not worth the $$$.
