So far so good, had them up about a month. Using indoor for above fish tanks so i knew it would be a damper/ humid air so i got waterproof / outdoor just to be safeThis is for my indoors grow room. It seems very bright and well made. I can’t say yet how my plants will respond but I’m pleased with the quality.Normally i dont write reviews but these lights are bright as hell man. They could light up even more than my 6ft×10ft greenhouse. Not sure if they keep warm cause its the summer but i will see how the fall and winter doesI love the lights they are very durable I'm using them in my front yard open garden.stretched out down the middle of my garden.they held up under nasty storms their waterproof.i recommend them very highly.thank you.I haven't had these lights in place long enough to be sure that they will solve the problem of shaded plants but it looks like they should. They are perfect for the problem I have. They were easy to install and do a great job of putting light on some constantly shaded plants that have spindly growing branches reaching for sunlight. The plants appear to be growing more fully with less spindly shoots. The price of the lights was very good. I would have bought them long ago if I had known they'd be so economical. 5 ? aren't enough.I got this for my botany enthusiast boyfriend and he really likes them. He definitely thinks they are a good buy.I haven't had a chance to put these lights on my plants yet, but I did set them up to see how they hang and their throw pattern/distances.Overall the build seems sturdy. The 'bulbs' are very lightweight and do not get overly hot. being they are a normal bulb socket, these could also be useful individually or in other fixtures. The cord is fine and provides a place to hang the light at each lamp which I would recommend to get the right distance/even hanging. Otherwise you'd get the cord droop and uneven angles. They say 'waterproof' and I would probably only consider it water resistant. They should handle any watering/rain easily. The cord ends screw together nicely, but are just hard plastic with no rubber O rings or seals.These will be a great addition for growing, and might work well for seed starting/growing on multiple shelves with the distance being long enough to have a light per shelf.We have three strings of these, two of the outdoors. We live in Northern California, so not much rain and usually light when we get it. One season and one of the bulbs failed (please see photo) due to water ingress. The replacement bulbs available on Amazon do not seem to have the red LED's (all white) but seem ok. Overall, these work, but claims of being waterproof are either overstated or their quality control is inadequate.
