I brought these up to Lake arrowhead when we rented a cabin. Backyard deck facing creek,so you know there's lots of activities. And bamn!!!Sweet lights for sure dudes ?So I bought the set of 2 and it was very easy to install. Just make sure when you insert the pin into that little hole to turn it on (that sounded like something else :-)) make sure it's in a the right angle (diagonally), I had to look it up and I almost broke the darn thing before I figured it out.Now in terms of brightness, I would say I could use some more of it. I have one on the top of my garage and not so sure it gives me the right amount of light though. The one inside my garage is doing well but that is because it's a smaller area.Motion detection: it seems to pick it up from a good distance just make sure your install it in a good place to have a larger visibility.Added Benefit: Now here is where I love having as many of these solar powered lights as I can, they can be used as flash and backup lights when the power goes out and/or if you go camping. I have also used one in a closet that did not have any light so it works really well. I am buying few more just in case we all have to live in darkness or wonder the lands to survive. Y'all be safe and God be with everyone.These are pretty small, about 1/2 the size of the old style normal motion/double floodlight you will see. They seem to last all night with partial day charge so that is good. It is a white light, so not as pleasing as warm white lights, but that is the way most LEDs are going. It does light up an area about 40 foot out with dim light. It will not be impressive in a bright urban city but in a darker setting, they are acceptable. It would be nice for a little more light intensity when on, but they are about what a 40watt bulb would be putting off. The only thing I wish they would do is power off the two side spot lights when not in motion. Right now all three light pods go into a dim night-light mode that is still bright enough to stand out. When not in motion detection, from a distance you can see the two side light pods always lit up, which to me draws more attention than they should. It would be nice if it had a switch to turn off all lights when not in motion.Not that bright either. But sensitivity of motion detector is pretty good. I had to place 2 next to each other to be able to see my yard at night. But it's a good deterrent for theft or alerting you of someone or something in your yard.These work really well. You get two levels of light - low when there is no movement detected and bright when the sensor picks up movement. The set so. Is pretty sensitive, so keep that in mind. It doesn’t take very much movement to set it off. The low light setting is just enough and the bright setting is plenty bright when needed. They stay on all night, but mostly on low, which is perfect for what I need.If you are looking for a quick easy to install light to light your path, side yard, entry door, what have you these are great. Are they bright enough to work under no, are they bright enough to see to get the key in the door without being blinded absolutely, or in my case see where the puppy has done its business so you don't step in it while working on the oh so important house training.I didn't realize before purchase this have a constant low light, and brighter motion triggered light, so that might be important for you to know in advance if you need off except when triggered, but in my case I love it since it means I can see where I am headed, and it gets brighter while in the immediate area.In fact my partner liked them so much that we now have 2 sets along the fence.I use one over my chicken coop door and I am alerted by the light going off whenever a visitor is moving around outside the coop. I used my binoculars to see from my window to the coop and saw a big rat had set it off as it sat eating the chicken feed my messy hen and rooster had kicked around. It was night and the small lights were bright enough I could see the rat itself. Also, the solar has continuously collected enough energy to power up every night even in the overcast winter months. The solar collector faces south and collects unhindered light in the winter 10 hours a day. It has been knocked off the coop (four feet) by high winds, and still works great. Highly recommend this product.They could be brighter and stay on longer. Good product.
